Marechal Foch is a hybrid variety that is primarily grown today in Eastern Canada and the United States where growing conditions are ideal for this type of grape. The variety itself is reknowned for its beautiful plum or dark purple colouration as well as its possession of fruit notes that are easy to drink and refreshing.

Produced in historic Grand Pre – the site of the expulsion of the Acadians and today the site of a beautiful village bordering on Wolfville, home to Acadia University – Domaine de Grand Pre's Marechal Foch is a full-bodied red with a bouquet of fruit and berry flavours.
- Appearance : The Marechal Foch does not disappoint here, as the wine is a beautiful dark plum colour, like an inky velvet. No sediment was to be found in the wine whatsoever. A compelling and striking colour in the proper glass.
- Palette : The Marechal Foch is extremely drinkable, even amongst those who normally may not like wines. The robust and fruity flavours of blackberry, cherry, raspberry, and blackcurrant are brought to the fore, combining to form a taste that is extremely refreshing during the summertime or paired with barbequed red meats.
- Price and Value : Domaine de Grand Pre's Marechal Foch is actually one of their least expensive wines, at $14.50 per 750ml bottle – proving that one does not have to break the bank to purchase a quality red wine that will impress nearly any taster.
